I do my classes in sessions that last 7 weeks/14 classes and have a set cost for every session. The -*test*-('")s are at the end of each session and then they pay again at the next session for another 7 weeks if they continue. Is there a way to do that with your program? For billing and ranking ect....Instead of monthly. What about discounts? Thanks

cabinsoftware- 03-26-2006

We will look at adding as user defined period to the Routine Invoicing Screen. As for discounts, create them as a standard billing item in the Services Screen.

Sensei Kim - You can go to www.cabinsoftware.com/TVBeta24.htm to download a Trial Version that includes user defined billing cycles. Please send me an mail that you got a good download. Thanks, Al

Sir, I have the program loaded onto my main pc at the club. How can I load it onto my laptop and be able to share the same data base. John

John, First you need to network your computers. After that is done, go to http://www.cabinsoftware.com/installSMAM.htm for instructions on how to network the program.

Multi locations
Hi, We run several locations on several nights, some nights we have 3 classes in 3 cities at the same time. We run out of other peoples gyms so we do not have access to the networks. We do have SQL services with our web site provider. Is there any way to use this on one laptops in each class, have the instructors take them home, hook up to the internet and sync all locations to one SQL database? (we can use ODBC) thanks jb

cabinsoftware- 04-04-2006

At this point, we recommend keeping separate databases for separate locations if not connected by a server. When a good and easy to employ solution comes along we will definetely apply it.

John Baade- 04-06-2006

But I dont really want to network the computers is there still away of backing up and restoring to achieve what I want? I run a part time school and I dont get that much chance to spend time here at the club to setup and input the way I would like it. Most of the time it is just data input. So I would like to do most of the set up and tayloring on my laptop. John

You can easily work with the same database between the two computers by saving the DDS.mdb and other program folders to a flash memory stick. When you go to the other computer just copy from the memory stick to your application folder at C:\Program Files\Studio MA Manager\. This approach assumes that no one else is working/updating the database on the opposite computer. Otherwise, you will over write their changes.

Ok thanks Al, Would the same work if I just backed up to the through the utilities menu? The second question also can I bulk enroll students to classes? I have just changed my class schedule do I have to individually enroll each of the students or can I do it as a whole class? John Baade

cabinsoftware- 04-24-2006

You can use the backup and restore function of the program. If you go to the Class Screen you can edit the class information and this will update all the students who are enrolled for the selected class. Otherwise, you will need to delete and add enrollments for each student individually.

Thanks Al once again, I am having troubles finding the class screen?
